Meet The Maker
At Cocoa Cave our Head Chocolatier is Aaron. Aaron has had a passion for food from a very young age, he is a professionally trained Chef and has worked in many different restaurants both in the UK and internationally including one of the world’s top one hundred five star hotels.
Aaron went on to serve as a Chef in the Royal Air Force during which time he gained recognition for his culinary skills by becoming Head of the Pastry Section in the RAF Culinary Arts Team and being selected for the Combined Services Culinary Arts Team. Aaron achieved a gold medal with the Junior Parade Team at Birmingham NEC and also second place in Coup De Pates Pastry Chef of the Year.
At the age of twenty six Aaron found himself at a crossroads having, unfortunately, been medically discharged from the Air Force but still dedicated to working with food. Aaron’s first love is pastries and confection and so the seeds to what would become Cocoa Cave were planted.
As Cocoa Cave has grown many of its clients are now stocking the full range of chocolates or working with Aaron on bespoke designs. You will however still see Aaron at local Farmer’s Markets across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. A favourite part of Aarons’ week is getting out and about, meeting the regulars and future regulars and making those community connections. A list of upcoming events can be found here -
